Why You Should Consider a Job Change for 2024 Now
Many people who don’t work in recruitment presume Christmas is a time when companies stop thinking about hiring new team members. Having worked in recruitment for 16 years, I have seen that some put a freeze on hiring this side of Christmas to simply focus on existing deadlines/projects some may have had someone resign so they urgently need extra resources. What is evident is starting before or after Christmas is not the key it is being the first in the queue that can matter.
Why is the festive season a good time to think about a job change. Well, here are some reasons why!
- Everyone else believes that January is the time to start, why not get organized and beat the competition. Fewer candidates applying is beneficial to you.
- Be top of the list and at the forefront of our client’s mind, so they don’t consider someone else in January, they may want to meet you now before anyone else.
- If you want to commence in January, then consider the time it takes to prepare yourself. Finding the right role takes some thought and preparation as you need to prepare your CV and portfolio.
- Enjoy the lead-up to Christmas and have a good recruiter to look for you. Arcadia Recruitment are local based and Brisbane with 16 years of connections, so they talk directly to the decision-makers.
- Save yourself time in January working and preparing whilst everyone else is back in the market.
Being job-ready and then Job seeking is time-consuming which will hinder your reaction time. Get prepared NOW not after you make the New Year’s Resolution.
Be ahead of the pack. This is your opportunity to put your hands up and take advantage of roles not advertised and be at the top of our clients’ thoughts.
