Why prepare your job search early before the Christmas celebrations begin?

It’s your last push, clients and project deadlines are pressing, and that Christmas feeling is emerging in the office. You may think to just wait until after Christmas and have a fresh start in January and so why not job search then?

Here are some reasons why:

• Everyone else searching for a new role in January, beat the rush
• Be top of the list and in the forefront of our client’s mind so they don’t consider someone else
• If you want to commence in January then consider the time it takes to prepare yourself and have interviews, accept, resign, and give notice then you start….
• Finding the right role takes some thought and preparation (CV, Portfolio)
• Save time using a good recruiter who cares and is meeting their clients now ready for 2023 strategy

We always say keep your CV up to date as you never know what is ahead.  Of course, we never too as time passes quickly.  Think about it… you might need to (1) update CV, (2) update portfolio (3) research companies/apply and then wait but before all this you must consider:

• Why should I move?
• What do I want from my next role?
• What makes me different to others?
• Where do I want to be in the long-term future with my career?
• Am I appealing to employers and have realistic salary expectations?

Getting prepared is time consuming and slows down your ability to react fast so why not be prepared NOW not after we have made a New Year’s Resolution.
